The Chair is a Canadian horror film directed by Brett Sullivan (Ginger Snaps 2). The trailer (below) gives off a vibe like The Orphanage (which was one of the creepiest films I've seen in a long time).

Cycle of Fear might not be the most polished looking film to hit the market but compared to the crappy Hollywood horror movies of recent there is something to be said about a low-budget Canadian indie that is actually getting a theatrical premiere (May 31st at the Bloor Cinema in Toronto).

As far as cheap horror movies goes Trick 'r Treat doesn't look too bad. Starring real actors like Anna Paquin, Brian Cox, and Dylan Baker - this could be a fun flick to catch on Halloween this year.

I've been hearing good things about Son of Rambow since it ran at the Toronto International Film Festival last September. After watching the trailer (below) I now see why so many people love this movie. The gist - two kids make a movie based on Rambo (wonder what Stallone thinks).
