When all the video tapes get erased at the Be Kind Rewind videostore, the two store clerks (Jack Black and Mos Def) decide to remake the movies themselves (Ghostbusters, Robocop, and Rush Hour to name a few). The remakes become a hit, and they become local celebrities. Directed and written by Michael Gondry (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind), Be Kind Rewind could be one of the most original movies in a long time.
